Abu Dhabi, the UAE's largest Emirate, is ruled by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who has also been the President of the country since 3 November 2004.
Abu Dhabi's oil sector is well-developed, with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) responsible for a large part of its hydrocarbon reserves – the sixth largest globally. In line with the Abu Dhabi Government's 2030 economic plan, diversification efforts have focused on developing investment opportunities in food and agriculture projects, infrastructure, and tourism industries.

ADIO is dedicated to attracting foreign direct investments, and supporting local investors via promotional efforts. They offer integrated services to current and prospective investors. ADIO offers incentive packages for investors in key fields like AgTech, corporate R&D, and eco-tourism.
